The 5th Meeting of Smart Destination Network Managers sees 175 managers from one hundred destinations descend on Gijón from today until 11 May.
SEGITTUR has published a Manual that brings together the experiences of Smart Destinations in provincial councils and island councils, the culmination of the work undertaken in the DTI Network.
The Executive Committee for the Smart Destination Network, chaired by the State Secretariat for Tourism, Rosana Morillo, approved the reopening of admission for new destinations.
Gijón, having been finalists in the race to be named European Capital of Smart Tourism, will host the 5th Meeting of Smart Destination Network Managers between 9 and 11 May.
SEGITTUR started work with Cayo Largo (Cuba) for its conversion into a smart destination in collaboration with the Gran Caribe hotel chain.
