A dozen Spanish companies with technological solutions for tourism join this week the trade mission to Colombia, organised by SEGITTUR and ICEX to coincide with the First Ibero-American Conference of Smart Destinations, in Medellín.
Colombia is one of the Ibero-American countries with the most investment in the smart destination model. Colombian cities classified as smart destinations include Bogotá and Medellín. Santiago de Cali and Bucaramanga have also been assessed by SEGITTUR.
This commitment to the smart destination model represents a great business opportunity for Spanish companies that already work with Spanish destinations and have services and technological solutions linked to one of the five axes of smart destinations: governance, technology, accessibility, sustainability and innovation.
The Spanish companies participating in the mission are: Turismo Vivencial, Iurban Digital Tourism, Tinamica, Interactive Sistema Developers, Play and Go experience, an innovative group of smart destinations in the region of Valencia, Smart Tourism Technologies, GMV Soluciones Globales Internet, Seeketing and Optimizadata.
The tourism solutions offered by these companies range from digital tourism offices, to data management to improving destination management, software development and providers of interactive devices, among others.
The trade mission is taking place at the same time as the First Ibero-American Conference of Smart Destinations, with other attendees such as Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, which are also of interest to Spanish companies.
During the mission, the participating companies hold bilateral meetings with those responsible for the destinations interested in learning about their solutions, as well as with Colombian companies that want to find out about their products.
